About This Product

Note: Product images show samples featuring Wischos branding for illustration purposes. All bulk orders are produced with your company's logo, name, or custom design — no Wischos branding will appear on delivered products.

Our custom metal bookmarks offer complete freedom in specification, allowing shapes and sizes to be tailored specifically to your corporate visual identity. The substantial weight of the metal ensures a firm physical presence between pages, providing a stable and reliable feel that paper or plastic alternatives cannot match. Whether you choose the grounded tone of brass or the clean look of stainless steel, these tools are built to withstand years of professional handling without deforming.

Through precision chemical etching and laser-cutting processes, even the most intricate brand designs are permanently integrated into the metal substrate. This ensures that your corporate identity remains crisp and intact, resisting damage from friction or environmental wear. It is a durable, low-maintenance hardware solution for long-term brand representation.

The product image shows a branded bookmark — will our order look like that?

The images show sample bookmarks produced with Wischos branding for reference only. Your bulk order will feature your company logo, text, or custom design. We work from your vector artwork to produce a completely custom branded product.

How does the metal body hold up over years of professional use?

Unlike paper or plastic markers, these metal bookmarks are built for longevity. The high-tension brass and steel maintain their structural memory, ensuring they will not bend or snap in heavy books. The electroplated or polished surface is engineered to resist oxidation and daily wear.

Can you handle high-detail logos and unique geometric shapes?

Yes. Our chemical etching process allows for extreme detail that traditional stamping cannot achieve. We can reproduce complex corporate logos and custom silhouettes with permanent, sharp edges that remain legible throughout the product's entire lifespan.

What is the difference between chemical etching and laser cutting for logos?

Chemical etching recesses the logo into the metal surface, creating a tactile, engraved effect with high durability. Laser cutting physically cuts through or deeply scores the metal for sharp, precise outlines. Both methods are permanent — the choice depends on your design complexity and desired aesthetic.

Chemical Etching vs Laser Cutting: When to Use Which

Chemical etching (using ferric chloride solution) dissolves metal to create recessed patterns 0.01–0.3mm deep. Best for: surface logos, fine text, detailed artwork on flat surfaces. Laser cutting (1000–3000W fiber laser) physically removes metal to create through-holes or silhouette shapes. Best for: custom bookmark profiles, cutout patterns, shadow-play designs. Chemical etching preserves structural integrity; laser cutting enables shape freedom.

Enamel Fill: Adding Color to Metal

After chemical etching, the recessed logo area can be filled with hard enamel (vitreous glass powder fired at 800°C) or soft enamel (epoxy resin cured at 150°C). Hard enamel is flush with the metal surface and has a jewel-like quality but costs 2–3× more. Soft enamel sits slightly recessed with a visible raised metal border — the more common choice for corporate gifts at MOQ 100+.

Brass vs Stainless Steel for Bookmarks

Brass (8.5 g/cm³) is 8% denser than stainless steel (7.9 g/cm³), giving it slightly more "page grip" at the same thickness. Brass also develops patina — an aesthetic feature for literary/heritage brands. Stainless steel stays mirror-bright indefinitely — better for tech/modern brands. Both are equally durable; the choice is purely aesthetic positioning.
